Hello, welcome to my blog that is entirely based around the Battle Royale made by Respawn Entertainment, Apex Legends. • Bloodhound

    Technological Tracker

Passive Ability Tactical Ability Ultimate Ability
Tracker Eye of the Allfather Beast of the Hunt
See clues and tracks left behind by your foes. Briefly reveal hidden enemies, traps, and clues throughout structures in front of you. Enhances your senses, allowing you move faster by 25% and highlighting your prey's movement and tracks in red.

    Notes on Bloodhound

Bloodhound is one of 6 free heroes, and is no doubt one of the best legends in Apex. Bloodhound's hitbox is toward the smaller side which increases my enthusiasm for a character quite a bit. If you get good enough with them, you can use their passive super effectively, being able to track people from all the way across the map. Eye of the Allfather is super useful in many situations, but the only downside is that when you use their tactical ability, it only scans who is directly in front of you, which means it doesn't scan the radius around you. And Beast of the Hunt is incredibly useful for rushing someone, or catching someone that is far away from you. Overall I think that Bloodhound is definitely the best character in Apex, if utilized correctly.

    Wraith

    Interdimensional Skirmisher

Passive Ability Tactical Ability Ultimate Ability
Voices from the Void and Low Profile Into the Void Dimensional Rift
A voice warns you when danger approaches. As far as you can tell, it’s on your side. The warn triggers when an enemy is aiming on you, or encounters any nearby traps. Damage is also increased by 5%. Grants invulnerability and invincibility while leaving bright trails in the path. While the skill is activated, Screen will turn grey and cannot see other players until the duration is over. Allows you to link two locations with portals for 60 seconds, allowing everyone to traverse between in a quick succession. Wraith cannot use weapons or ziplines but able to activate Into The Void while creating the portal's path.

    Notes on Wraith

Wraith is one of the 6 free heroes. Wraith has the tiniest hitbox out of all the legends in the game, which makes her the hardest to hit, and this has caused many Apex players to have Wraith be their main. In my opinion, Wraith is only a good character is you understand how to use her. Her tactical is by far one of the best abilities out there, allowing you to be completely invincible for 10 seconds. but in order to use her ultimate ability well, you have to be a forward scout, much like Pathfinder. The reason I say this is because the portal is used to help your teammates either move forward, move back, or rotate to circle, and in order to do so efficiently, you have to be in the front of your squad. But even though lots of TTV sweats use her, I think that there are other heroes that you should spend your time on getting better with.

    Pathfinder

    Forward Scout

Passive Ability Tactical Ability Ultimate Ability
Insider Knowledge Grappling Hook Zipline Gun
Pathfinder can scans on survey beacons located in the map, revealing the ring's next location, indicated in green. Beacon can be used once per round and can be scanned again when the next round starts. Pathfinder shoots grapple to get to out-of-reach places quickly. The hook will attach the first solid object and can be attached to another player. Create a zipline for both your teammates and enemies to use

    Notes on Pathfinder

Pathfinder is one of 6 legends that are free, but in my mind is a bit overrated. The reason I say this is because alongside with Wraith, Pathfinder is another TTV sweat character, which isn't a bad thing, I just think you should experiment with other characters, compared to following what other people think. His hit box is confusing, because he is very tall, but also very skinny. In Apex you always have to be moving, and Pathfinder is an expert in mobility. His grapple allows you to get highground which is very helpful, and his zipline allows you to either push or retreat. Apex marks him as a supportive character, but in my opinion he should be marked as offensive based on his ability to push enemies with ease. Overall Pathfinder is a great legend, and can be utilized by your squad very well, if you know how to play him.

    Gibraltar

    Shielded Fortress

Passive Ability Tactical Ability Ultimate Ability
Gun Shield and Fortified Dome of Protection Defensive Bombardment
Aiming down sights deploys a gun shield that blocks incoming fire. Reduces his damage taken by 15%, also immune to slow effects from weapon fire. Throws down a dome-shield that blocks attacks for 15 seconds. The dome will prevent any incoming damage while also preventing outgoing damage from players shooting from inside the dome. Gibraltar calls in a concentrated mortar strike on a marked position. Exploded as soon the strike hits ground, affected players will recieve Shellshock concussions.

    Notes on Gibraltar

Gibraltar is one of the 6 legends that are free, and he is one BIG BOY. His hitbox is the largest in the game but in this case, it doesn't damage his overall character. I think that Apex does a really good job on balancing the larger hitboxes with the damage being reduced by 15%. The only time it brings down the character overall is when they have a large hitbox, but doesn't have the fortified ability. His passive is really helpful in most situations, but when you are trying to be sneaky, the shield may reveal your position. But of course you can toggle the shield on and off at will. His tactical is great for cover, and healing up in intense situations. The best thing about Gibraltar is how he can play both offensive and defensive positions with his ultimate, tactical, and passive abilities.

    Lifeline

    Combat Medic

Passive Ability Tactical Ability Ultimate Ability
Combat Medic and Low Profile D.O.C. Heal Drone Care Package
Revive knocked down teammates faster while protected by a shield wall and healing items are used 25% faster. Damage is also increased by 5%. Calls a Drone of Compassion to automatically heal all nearby teammates over time. Drone can be shot down and heals enemy if they are in range. Calls in a drop pod full of high-quality defensive gear (at most Legendary grades). Each pod will contain a fixed set of 1 Healing items, 1 Gear and 1 Weapon mod. Maximum of Level 3 rarity.

    Notes on Lifeline

Lifeline is one of 6 free heroes and is probably one of the most, if not the most, iconic character form Apex Legends. Her passive is super helpful because it is like you always have gold armor on. Her revive shield can be annoying sometimes since it reveals your position and you get lasered as soon as you get your teammate up. Her D.O.C. Drone pairs super well with Wattson because Lifeline heals health, and Wattson heals shield with her ultimate. The care package is great early game because you can get better loot before the majority of players, so if you see those ultimate accelerants, make sure to pick those up. Overall Lifeline is a mediorcre hero, but if you understand how to position yourself in-game, she can become really good.

    Bangalore

    Professional Soldier

Passive Ability Tactical Ability Ultimate Ability
Double Time Smoke Launcher Rolling Thunder
Activated upon getting shot while Sprinting, Bangalore will move 25% faster for a brief time. Fires a high-velocity smoke canister that explodes into a smoke wall on impact. The launcher has a maximum of two charges, and the smoke canister will deal small amount of damage to the enemy on direct contact. Calls in an artillery strike that slowly creeps across the landscape. The artillery can hit both allies and enemies.

    Notes on Bangalore

Bangalore is one of 6 free legends in the game, and she is very similar to Gibraltar in the way that she can play both offensive and defensive. She was designed for just being the generic soldier in the game, but she is super useful in lots of situations. Her smoke can help you in getting the revive off, you can use it to succesfully rush a team, disorient your enemies, etc. Her ultimate in my opinion is completely useless, because it takes and incredibly long time to activate, and that gives your foes lots of time to evacuate. Double time is great for rushing, and that is what makes me say that she can play both offensive and defensive. All of her abilities can be used for both, and that makes Bangalore at least in my top 5 heroes.

    Caustic

    Toxic Trapper

Passive Ability Tactical Ability Ultimate Ability
Nox Vision and Fortification Nox Gas Trap Nox Gas Grenade
Allows you to see enemies through your gas, as well as reduces his damage taken by 15%, and is immune to slow effects from weapon fire. Drop canisters that release deadly Nox gas when shot or triggered by enemies, also players inside the gas radius are slowed and unable to sprint. Blankets a large area in Nox gas, damage is increased for every second that player stays in Nox gas and their vision is being obscured.

    Notes on Caustic

Caustic is one of the 5 heroes you have to pay for, costing either 750 Apex Coins or 12,000 Legend Tokens. He is definitely one of the more campy characters, because all of his abilities are based around trapping people. He has one of the larger hitboxes so that also brings down my enthusiasm for Caustic. In Apex you have to be aggressive and Caustic is the complete opposite of aggressive. In my opinion I wouldn't waste my money on him, but I could see how a player that is new to Apex would really enjoy his abilities.

    Wattson

    Static Defender

Passive Ability Tactical Ability Ultimate Ability
Spark of Genius Perimiter Security Interception Pylon
Ultimate Accelerants fully charge your Ultimate Ability, and standing near interception pylons boosts your Tactical Ability recharge. Connect nodes to create electrified fences that damage and slow enemies. Place an electrified pylon that destroys incoming ordnance and repairs damaged shields as long as it stands. (Max: 3)

    Notes on Wattson

Wattson is one of 5 legends that you have to pay for, and is one of my favorite legends to play. She has one of the smallest hitboxes in the game which is preferred. Wattson is definitely a more defensive character, because of the way she can secure areas, and defend against incoming attacks. But Wattson if you play her you can tell the devs made her for camping. If you don't know what camping is, it is a strategy that most new players use in FPS games, where you don't attack or interact with any other players, it is where you hide and stay still under cover. To some people it may seem like a good strategy, but it will never give you much XP, and you can't really enjoy the game by standing still. Wattson works very well with Lifeline and Gibraltar, because Lifeline gives you health, Wattson gives you shield, and Gibraltar can defend very, very, well. Overall Wattson is a well designed character, but her abilities feel they are lacking something.

    Crypto

    Surveillance Expert

Passive Ability Tactical Ability Ultimate Ability
    Neurolink Surveillance Drone Drone Emp
Enemies detected by the Surveillance Drone within 30 meters of your position are marked for you and your teammates to see. Deploy an aerial drone that allows you to view the surrounding area from above. If the drone is destroyed, there is a forty-second cooldown before you can deploy another. Your Surveillance Drone sets off an EMP blast that deals shield damage, slows enemies, and disables traps.

    Notes on Crypto

Crypto is one of 5 legends that you have to pay for, and is in my mind, one of the top 3 legends. His hitbox is right in the middle, being neither large nor small. He is the only legend in the Recon class, other than Bloodhound. Since Crypto has been released, Bloodhound has been referred to by many as "The Poor Man's Crypto" because all of his abilities are like Bloodhound's, but WAY better. He is definitely one of the more passive characters, and is extremely helpful to your teammates. Crypto should always stand back in the fight, since when you control your drone, you are completely unaware of what is going on around you, and are focused on the drone. If you stay in back, you will have less pressure on you, when you go into drone mode. Also while using Crypto you should always have a sniper, because you will be at those long ranges. Overall Crypto is a great addition to the game, and is definitely worth the money.

    Octane

    Adrenaline Junkie

Passive Ability Tactical Ability Ultimate Ability
    Swift Mend Stim Launch Pad
Automatically restores health over time. Move 30% faster for six seconds. Costs 10% of current health to use. Deploy a jump pad that catapults teammates through the air.

    Notes on Octane

Octane is one of the 5 heroes you have to pay for, and has a fairly normal hitbox. He is definitely an aggressive character, considering how he is meant to be fast to rush enemies, and his jump pad is supposed to be used to get high ground above your foes, but it rarely ever works out succesfully. Your loadout should consist of a shotgun, smg, or an assault rifle, but almost never a sniper unless you have no other choice. The reason I say this is because his abilities do not cater to long distance fights, so why would you put yourself in a situation that you aren't comfortable in? Octane can also be helpful in escaping/retreating because he can place his jumppad to get to areas that enemies cannot see. Overall Octane is not the best hero, considering how much damage you take for useing you tactical, and his ultimate in my mind is useless.

    Mirage

    Holographic Trickster

Passive Ability Tactical Ability Ultimate Ability
    Encore! Psyche Out Vanishing Act
Automatically drop a decoy and cloak for five seconds when knocked down. Send out a holographic decoy to try to confuse the enemy. Deploy a team of Decoys to try to distract enemies while you cloak.

    Notes on Mirage

Mirage is one of 5 legends that you have to pay for, with a hitbox that is right in the middle compared to the other legends. In my opinion he is the worst legend in Apex. The reasons I say this is because one, his abilities are very underwhelming, and two, you have to waste either your money, or use you legends tokens to unlock him. Compare Mirage to other heroes such as Pathfinder, he doesnt have the special role that a team could use efficiently to help them in battle. I think that if he got a couple of buffs, like where you can switch places with your decoys, that would easily make him top 5 heroes for me, but I dont see any changes to Mirage soon.

    Revenant

    Synthetic Nightmare

Passive Ability Tactical Ability Ultimate Ability
    Stalker Silence Death Totem
You crouch-walk faster and can climb higher than other Legends. Damage increased 5% Throw a device that deals damage and disables enemy abilities for 10 seconds. Drop a totem that protects those who use it from death for a set amount of time. Instead of being killed or downed, users will return to the totem.

    Notes on Revenant

Revenant is the new legend in Season 4, and is OP. His hitbox is reasonable being really tall but also very skinny which is preferred like Pathfinder, but he also has really good abilities. His Stalker ability allows you to sneak up on an unsuspecting enemy team, and rush/push them, his tactical hits for 10 damage and is really effective towards all legends. If a wraith is gonna void run, use your tactical, caustic gonna place a trap? Use your tactical. Lastly his ultimate, it is easily the most OP ultimate I have ever heard of. You and your whole team can avoid death. If you see a really sweaty path with the Quicksilver skin, WHOOPS, place down your death totem. The only downside to the death totem is that your shields are disabled during the protection, so if you have really low health and enter the totem, you're probably gonna respawn at the totem almost instantly. Overall Revenant is a really good character, but make sure to not take him from the TTVs (they need more viewers)

    Grand Soirée

    Arcade Event

The Grand Soiree Arcade Event was announced today at 1/9/2020 and my first impression is pretty amazing. The event will hold 7 limited time game modes which all last 2 days each and is hosted by a very fancy Pathfinder. Also with every event, we got some new skins and they all look incredible. You can tell the devs really took their time and thought to themselves "How can we make these cosmetics stand out?" and "What can we create, that break all aspects to Apex?" I mean these questions in a good way just to clerify. The gamemode i'm most excited for is the 3rd person mode. It allows people to see their skins in a full view. Usually skins are just to show off in front of your friends, but now they have an actual purpose. Overall I am very, very, excited for this event to start and what us Apex players will think.
